Arab Parliament hails President’s Arab joint action initiative

SANA’A, Feb. 20 (Saba) – Arab Parliament hailed here on Saturday President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s initiative to activate Arab joint action.During his meeting with Chairman of the Shura Council Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy in the Arab Parliament, head of the following up committee on the Yemeni initiative to activate Arab common work, Mohammad Abu Hudeib said that the aim of the visit is to express that the Parliament stands beside Yemen in order to overcome its challenges.Hudeib said that the committee would spare no efforts to put Yemen’s initiative on the table of the coming Arab Summit to be held in Tripoli next month.Abdul-Ghani valued the wisdom decision of the Arab Parliament in forming this committee, pinning hopes that the committee’s visits to a number of Arab states would to mobilize the support for the initiative.Yemen is keen through the initiative on unifying Arab rank, Abdul-Ghani said.The two officials reviewed a number of issues related to the developments in the Yemeni and Arab arenas as well as the priorities of Arab joint action.FJ/AF
