Chinese vice president to arrive in Yemen next week

SANA’A, June 19 (Saba) – Chinese vice president Xi Jinping is due in Yemen next week during which he will meet President Ali Abdullah Saleh and other senior officials, the mouthpiece of Yemen’s defense ministry September 26 said on Thursday. The visit comes within the framework of a five-nation tour that includes stops in North Korea, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. During the visit the two countries will sign a number of cooperation agreements that will include an agreement for establishing a typical hospital in Sana’a with support for China. The two sides will agree on activating agreements signed previously on cooperation in various fields. Moreover, the new building of the Foreign ministry that was constructed with funding from the Chinese government would be opened. Jinping would be accompanies by a commercial delegation including representatives from 100 Chinese companies. A Yemeni-Chinese investment meeting is to be held next Wednesday that will be organized by the Yemeni General Investment Authority in cooperation with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).A photo gallery would be held along with the meeting that will include images introducing the participants to investment cooperation trends between the two friend countries.FR
