President inspects public work ministry’s projects

SANA’A, June 04 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid Wednesday a visit to Ministry of Public Work and Roads where he inspected ongoing work of the ministry’s projects. He inspected ongoing works in road projects toped by al-Hussainiah-Dhamar, Rasd-Batais and Amran-Aden strategic road project as well as a number of road projects being carried out in the framework of the ministry’s plan. He then was briefed by ministry’s officials on law legislations and measures taken by the ministry in field of organizing its works that led to establishing institutional work. He also viewed the ministry’s housing projects, among of which ongoing work in Assaleh Housing and Agricultural Project for Youth and of People of Lower Income. He then inspected preparations concerning projects needed for hosting Gulf Football Championship 20 in 2011 and listened to explanation on the 40 governmental projects being carried out by the ministry with the cost estimated at YR 20 billion. He highlighted efforts exerted by the ministry in this regard and directed concerned officials to follow up carrying out these projects according to due specifications and timetable. He affirmed carrying out more road and housing projects and on coordination with local authorities to abide by constructional designs. He noted that the country’s concerns now days are constructing more housing projects across the country for providing homes to citizens, especially youth and people of lower income. MA/MA Saba
