President Saleh arrives in Sharm el-Sheikh

SHARM EL-SHEIKH, April 18 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Sunday in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Shikh on an official visit to Egypt in order to be assured the health of President Muhammad Hosni Mubarak. In a statement to media upon his arriving in Sharm el-Shikh, Saleh said “I have pleasure with this brotherly visit to Egypt to congratulate my brother President Mubarak upon the successful surgery he underwent in Germany.” “We, in Yemen, highly valued the supportive positions of Egypt to Yemen’s security, stability and unity”, Saleh added. President Saleh pointed out that during the visit he would discuss with Mubarak strengthening the brotherly relations and the joint cooperation between the two countries, as well as exchanging the points of view towards the Arab, regional and international developments that concern the two countries and the Arab nation. The delegation accompanying Saleh included Shura Chairman Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and Secretary General of the State Presidency Hussein al-Bashiri. BA Saba
