President Saleh arrives in Tokyo

TOKYO, Nov. 6 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Sunday in the Japanese capital of Tokyo in his tour including United State and France in addition to Japan.

President Saleh was welcomed by head of the Middle East and Africa Department in the Japanese Foreign Ministry Motow Hidy Yuchii and other top Japanese officials.

He will hold talks with the Japanese Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and other Japanese officials over ways of enhancing the mutual cooperation between the two friendly countries and issues of common concern.

The talks will also focus on the trade partnership between the two countries and the Japanese investments in Yemen, especially in the Aden Free Zone.

During the talks, president Saleh will also discuss with the Japanese officials situations in Palestine, Iraq and Somalia and role of Japan in the peace process in the region.

They will also discuss topic of reform the United Nation organization to coordinate positions of the two efforts in this regard.
