President Saleh heads for China

SANA’A, April 4 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh left Sana’a here on Tuesday to Beijing in an official visit to the People’s Republic of China in response to an invitation presented to him from Chinese President Hu Jintao.
During the visit President Saleh would hold discussions with his Chinese counterpart. The discussions aim to enhance and develop the existing cooperation relations in the economic, investment and trade fields to serve the common interests of the two countries.
The two leaders will also discuss the latest developments in the Middle East region and current international developments of common concern.
It is expecting that 19 projects and bilateral cooperation programs agreements would be signed during the visit.
He stated to (Saba) that during the visit number of discussions will be hold with Chinese President and governmental officials. The discussions will deal with bilateral relations and developing joint economic and trade
cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions will shed lights on a number of international and regional issues.
Saleh, who is heading a high ranking delegation, said that the accompanying
delegation includes number of Yemeni businessmen and investors who would discuss with their Chinese counterpart the set-up of joint economic and commercial projects and discuss means of enhancing trade exchanging between the two countries.
He added that a number of economic and investment agreements will be signed during the visit.
