President Saleh inspects Taiz airport
TAIZ, May 09(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid on Tuesday an inspection visit to Taiz airport in al-Janad.
Saleh was briefed during the visit on efforts to improve and enlarge the airport.
President Saleh directed to establish a new runway with all technical equipments to enable the airport to receive different planes and better its services for passengers.
The improvement process at Al-Janad airport costs US $ 12 million.
In addition, Saleh inspected the implementing of al-Daery line around Taiz city that is being implemented with a total cost YR 2 billion.
He urged local authorities to double efforts to achieve the project on time and to supply it with technical specifics included in the
projectagreement.
