President Saleh meets chairman of Chinese People Council

BEIJING, April 7 (Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Friday chairman of the Chinese People Council.

In the meeting, they discussed aspects of the mutual cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries.

They also discussed the latest developments in the region in the top of which is peace situation in Middle East and African Horn as well as coordination of the positions of the two countries over activating role of the United Nations to serve peace in the world.

The chairman of the Chinese council indicated to the importance of the president Saleh’s visit to Chain, saying that the visit realized positive outcomes, which reflect positively on the relations between the two countries.

He pointed out to allocation of one billion dollar for development projects in Yemen, confirming desire of China to bolster its ties with Yemen in all fields.

President Saleh highlighted level of the mutual cooperation and the relations between Yemen and China, pointing out to the joint willingness of the two countries to push these ties forward to serve common interests of both countries.

He appreciated Chinese stance in supporting Yemen, saying that the talks with Chinese side were successful.

Viewpoints of the two countries were same over developments in Middle East, especially in Palestine and Iraq, he said.
He said that Israel has to obligate with international resolutions associated with the Arab-Israeli conflict as that would help in realizing a fair peace in the region.
He indicated to the big economic achievements in China, renewing support of Yemen for unity of China.
