President Saleh person of the year 2006
AIRO, Mar. 14(Saba)- The Higher Council of Afro-Asian International Organization of Book selected President Ali Abdullah Saleh to be the person of the year 2006.
The chairman of the organization Magdi Murgan said that this choice came to estimate the role of president Saleh in supporting the book and freedom of world as well as his affects in granting the joint Arab work.
He pointed out that Saleh deserves this title, briefing that the honoring
celebration would be held in the organization annual celebration next
June in Cairo with attendance of a number of African leaderships.
Murgan also appreciated Saleh positions in defending the Arab and Islamic issues.
It is worth noting that the organization usually chooses person of the year in June, but choosing president Saleh is exceptional, according to the organization.
