President Saleh returns home

SANA’A,(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh returned home on Wednesday after a successful brotherly visit to Saudi Arabia.

During the visit, president Saleh met with Saudi king Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz and discussed with him the means of enhancing bilateral relations and
joint cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, security and fighting terrorism.

They also exchanged viewpoints over the current regional and international developments, confirming the similarity of stands towards the Islamic and Arab joint work.

In remarks to Saba, president Saleh explained his pleasure for the outcomes of his visit and fruitful meetings with brotherly Saudi officials.

Saleh said the visit would support the brotherly cooperation in terms of political, economic, security, cultural, social and fighting terrorism.

“We also discussed the latest Arab and Islamic developments and the situation in Palestine, Iraq and Somalia,” said president Saleh.

Saleh said they also discussed the current preparations for the coming Islamic summit to be held next November in Saudi Arabia.

President Saleh said that the Yemeni- Saudi relations were good, describing them as historical and distinguished.
