President Saleh transits in Bangkok

BANGKOK, Nov 5 (Saba) – On his way to Japan, President Ali Abdullah Saleh
took a destination pause in the Thai capital Bangkok where he met with
Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Khantathi Suphamongkon.

Saleh and Suphamongkon discussed mutual relationships between Yemen and
Thailand and means to develop them.

They also talked on developing commercial cooperation in fisheries, air
transportation and tourism.

Suphamongkon explained to Saleh the situations on the north of Thailand
and the Thai Government keenness on solving those problems to show national
solidarity.

He also asked Yemen’s mediation to solve the dispute with Malaysia over
the 131 Thai refugees.

President Saleh pledged to play a role in restoring the Thai-Malaysian
relationships.
