Republican resolution names new Saada governor

SANA’A, April 18 (Saba)- The republican resolution No. 60 for 2007 appointed Mutahar Rashad al-Masri as governor of Saada province, south of Yemen. Al-Masri, who was a deputy interior minister for a long time, took the constitutional oath on Wednesday before President Ali Abdullah Saleh. by this appointment, al-Masri will replace the former governor of Saada Yahya al-Shami. Saada is still a battlefield between the army forces and followers of the terrorist Abdul-Malik al-Houthi. The government accuses the terrorists of seeking to oust its republican regime and install Imamate rule. YA/NS
