Saleh confirms attention to youth and their encouragement

ADEN- President Ali Abdullah Saleh confirmed on Sunday the attention to youth and their encouragement so as to use their energies and talents in serving the homeland.

This came during his meeting with leaders of youth associations in the business capital of Aden.

In the meeting, President Saleh commended the role played by youth in the homeland and in the provinces of Aden, Abyan and Lahj, particularly in making success to the 20th Gulf Cup.

"The youth are the strength of the present and the pillars of the future and the spirit of giving for the country", Saleh said.

For their part, the youth associations' leaders briefed Saleh on the associations' activity and role in the national issues and in serving the community within the role played by the civil society organizations in Aden.

They expressed their condemnation of all acts carried out by outlaws in some districts in order to undermine security and stability, affirming that they would take up these subversive acts, whatever their origin.

In addition, they called on all youth to get involved in the row of construction and development so as to serve interests of the homeland, emphasizing youth's support for the democratic constitutional right of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
