Saleh heads for Cairo to partake in quartet summit

ADEN, Nov. 10 (Saba) – In response to invitation from the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, President Ali Abdullah Saleh left here on Saturday for Cairo to take part in the quartet summit, which would include, besides Saleh and Mubarak, the Saudi Monarch Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz and Iraqi President Jalal Talebani. During the summit, the leaders would discuss the Arab Peace Initiative and coordinate their attitudes towards the US-sponsored Peace Conference to be convened in Annapolis, Maryland, USA later in this month. The summit would discuss current developments in the region, topped by situations in Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon and Somalia and a number of issues and developments concern Arab nation. President Saleh would also hold talks with Mubarak on brotherly relations between the two countries and means of improving them as well as the latest Arab, regional and international developments.
