Saleh, Mubarak discuss last developments in Palestine

SANA’A, Jan. 22 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh discussed on Tuesday with Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak the latest developments in the Palestinian territories as well as the massacres and unjust siege committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza strip. On a phone call, Saleh expressed his sorrow for the Arab suspicious silence on the Palestinian people’s suffering from the aggression and massacres of Israel, which does not care about the international pacts or peace agreements and initiatives. Saleh talked with Mubarak about convening an extraordinary urgent Arab summit in Cairo to adopt a united Arab attitude towards the Israeli violence against Palestinian people. For his part, Mubarak briefed Saleh on the results of his discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and defense minister Ehud Barak over the situations in Palestine. He said that they agreed on opening a crossing 7 KM near Rafah Border Crossing for passing the medical assistances, foodstuffs and fuel for the operation of power stations in Gaza. TD/AF Saba
