Saleh praises results of GCC summit

SANA’A, Dec 25, (Saba) – At an interview with the Kuwaiti newspaper “Alsyasiah”, President Ali Abdullah Saleh praised the results of the GCC summit that was held in Abu Dhabi especially in terms of the significance of enhancing relations between Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Yemeni re-welcoming of the Gulf and Kuwaiti investments.
Saleh affirmed that his decision to not run for presidency in the upcoming 2006 presidential elections comes to arrange the Yemeni house from the inside and to push the national high-profile politicians to take the initiative as candidates for the presidency.
The current Arab nation’s circumstances are difficult and depressing, Saleh stated emphasizing on the Arab solidarity to cope with the challenges that facing the Arab nation.
