Saudi King receives letter from President Saleh

RIYADH- King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia received in Riyadh on Monday a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

In the letter, President Saleh valued highly the role of the kingdom under the leadership of King Abdullah in support of the development of Yemen and all efforts aim to safeguard the Yemenis and the unity, security and stability of the country.

Saleh indicated to the Saudi endeavors, via Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), to overcome the ongoing crisis and its repercussions on Yemen’s economic and security and the region’s as well.

The letter delivered by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar also dealt with the brotherly relations between Yemen and the kingdom.

King Abdullah emphasized the Saudi extreme keenness on the stability and security of Yemen and the deep-rooted ties link Yemen and the kingdom.

He hoped the Yemeni people to surmount the ongoing crisis and maintain the Yemeni unity and stability.

The Premier pointed to the deep view of the King Abdullah on the underway crisis in the country and its consequences on Yemeni citizens and the region’s stability, pinning hopes for bigger roles of the kingdom and other GCC’s States to end the Yemeni crisis.

King Abdullah and Mujawar reviewed the mutual cooperation relations and the last developments in local arena.

Mujawar arrived earlier today [Monday] in Riyadh, after a short visit to Kuwait, where he handed over a letter from President Saleh to Amir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The letter dealt with the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and the situation in Yemen, mainly the current crisis and the efforts made under the framework of GCC’s initiative to address it.

Worth mentioning is that Mujawar handed over on Sunday a letter to the Omani Sultan Qaboos Bin Said al Said from President Saleh.

After Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, the Premier will also pay visits to Bahrain and United Arab Emirates for the same purpose.
