Technical education minister meets Chinese ambassador

SANA’A, Nov. 29(Saba)-The Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ali Safa met on Wednesday Chinese ambassador to Sana’a Gawya Cheingh. During the meeting, they discussed means of cooperation between two friendly countries, particularly in the fields of technical education and vocational training. The minister highlighted 50 years of joint cooperation between the two countries in different fields, saying that $ 5 million was allocated for supplying some institutions with equipment. He pointed out to the visit of the President Ali Abdullah Saleh to China last April which resulted in around 1 billion as grant from China to fund projects in Yemen in electricity, roads and construction of vocational institutes and information technology. The ministry is preparing to open a new department for Chinese language, which will start its activities next year. For his part, the Chinese diplomat expressed readiness of his country to activate the cooperation between two countries and achieve what has been agreed on it, in addition to exchange experiences and knowledge between countries.
