President orders to free al-Houthi supporters

SANA’A, Sept. 25(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Sunday announced an amnesty for all jailed supporters of al-Houthi rebellion who waged attacks against the state last year.

In his speech in a symposium over the Yemeni Revolution in Taiz, president Saleh said ” we have declared the amnesty for the supporters of Hussein al-Houthi and his father who are in jail for the strife they caused.”

“We have pardoned them despite the blood that has been spilled,” he added.

President Saleh also announced that the government would compensate the family of Imam Ahmed Hameed al-Deen.
