President Saleh meets African leaders

SIRT, LIBYA, Oct. 10 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Sunday, on the sidelines of the 2nd Arab-African summit being held in Sirt city, Libya, with a number of African leaders.Saleh held separate meetings with President of Central African Republic Francois Bozize, President Rupiah Banda of Zambia, President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe and Vice President of South Africa Kgalema Motlanthe.During the meetings, President Saleh discussed with the African leaders the topics included in the agenda of the Arab-African 2nd Summit, topped by the strategic project of Arab-African partnership and the Arab-African joint action plan for 2011 – 2016.They also discussed a resolution draft of establishing an Arab-African joint fund to encounter disasters. Saleh and the African leaders reviewed the Sirt’s announcement and means to activate the Arab-African joint action in addition to the mutual relations between Yemen and each of their countries.TD/AF
