Russian Deputy Foreign Minister arrives in Yemen

SANA’A, April 17 (Saba) – Russian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrey Denisov arrived on Saturday for a few-day visit to Yemen during which he hand a letter to President Ali Abdullah Saleh from Russian President Demetri Medvedev. Upon arrival, Denisov told Saba that the letter dealt with the bilateral relationship and how to strengthen cooperation in all areas. It also concerned about the regional latest developments and issues of mutual interest, he said. On the visit, Denisov is meeting officials at the Foreign Ministry to discuss the same topics. Yemen is one of the strategic partners of the Russian Federation with the ties between both dating back to 1928, he said. FRSaba
