Syrian vice president delivers letter to President Saleh

SANA’A, March 21 (Saba)- Syria’s Vice president Farouk al-Shara left here on Wednesday after an official two-day visit in which he delivered a letter from Syrian President Bashar al-Asad to President Ali Abdullah Saleh. The latter is related to coordinating the stages before holding the Arab summit. Al-Shara held also talks with vice president Abdu Rabo Mansur Hadi on the current developments in the region. During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues and developments on the joint Arab activities. The two officials talked also the ongoing preparations for holding the coming Arab summit in the Saudi capital Riyadh next week. Upon his departure, al-Shara said to Saba that the visit achieved its goals, adding viewpoints were identical about all issues that discussed on the top of improving the joint Arab work and enhancing relations among the Arab leaders. Al-Shara arrived on Tuesday to Yemen carrying a letter from President al-Asad to President Saleh. YA/NS
