US president congratulates president on Eid al-Fitr

SANA’A, Oct. 20 (Saba)-President of United States, George W. Bush has sent a cable of congratulations to President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Eid al-Fitr. In his cable, the president Bush extended his best wishes to president Saleh and Yemeni people on this religious occasion. He wished this Eid bring the blessing of peace and prosperity to Yemeni people. He congratulated president Saleh once again on Yemen’s recent elections. He said that the United States views these elections as a significant and positive development in Yemen’s democratization. “I look forward to continuing our countries’ fruitful cooperation,” the US president said.
